Blake’s Learning Centres are a wonderful motivating way for students to practise important skills. This resource provides 25 levelled Text Cards from a wide variety of dynamic fiction and non-fiction text types. Each Text Card is accompanied by an Activity Card that features tasks designed to help students engage fully with the texts. Students can use these cards to work independently or in pairs to develop their science comprehension and writing skills. The Text and Activity Cards are divided into five sections to cover the major strands of the Australian primary Science Curriculum.

The sections are:

• Earth and Space Sciences

This downloadable PDF resource also contains 75 printable work sheets — three for each Text Card. The work sheets are labelled A, B and C and vary in difficulty. Answers are provided for the work sheets and the Activity Cards.
