The downloadable PDF resource World War II – 2 looks at the experiences of Australians in the war, explores main events and studies some of the post-war impact for Australia. Content includes the attack on Pearl Harbour, Kokoda, the experiences of POWs, the Thai–Burma railway, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, mateship, wartime intelligence and the ANZUS treaty. Historical and literacy skills are developed through interpreting photographs and secondary sources, locating and categorising information and studying the impact of the wartime experience.
