The units provide appropriate examples of informative texts and break down the key features and language elements of each text type, from opening statements and subheadings to the organisation of paragraphs and sequencing of events, to summing up effectively and quoting sources.

The accompanying activities develop reading and grammar skills, and allow students to practise each element and learn the building blocks for how to successfully plan, write and edit factual reports.
