About This PDF
Australia has more than 800 different species of reptile. They manage to survive in the harshest of environments, where few other creatures can. Australian reptiles include crocodiles, turtles, lizards and snakes. It is difficult for many students to have access to viewing a range of real (live) reptiles, so an excursion to a local wildlife park is an advantage to help students build their field of knowledge on the topic. Reptiles are relatively inactive during winter, so the best time to do this unit is in summer or late spring.
